The Study of a New Drug
According to the Science Daily website The national Institutes of health study has found that adding two drugs to the standard ZDV treatment can reduce the chances by 50% of an infant receiving the HIV infection. The studies result were presented on March 2 at the 18th annual conference in Boston. 1/5 of people who have HIV don't know it, and 100 to 200 are born with HIV in the United States. Most pregnant woman are treated for HIV before the birth, but a lot of people don't know that they have the disease. The study took place in Brazil, South Africa, Argentina,and the United States.
